SUMMARY
We selected the Atlanta Juggler’s Association (AJA) for this project because of its unique mission to spread joy and entertainment throughout the community. Despite their incredible work, the AJA’s website fell short in delivering a clear, engaging experience for potential members, donors, and event organizers. Our goal was to create a modern, user-focused redesign to amplify their mission and attract greater support.
THE CHALLENGE
Visitors struggled to locate critical information like meeting schedules, mission details, and donation options.
THE KEY QUESTION
How can we make AJA’s website more engaging and intuitive, inspiring users to join, support, or donate to their cause?
OUR SOLUTION
By focusing on accessibility, transparency, and user engagement, we created a responsive design with a prominent donation button, streamlined navigation, and a bold presentation of AJA’s mission.
USER RESEARCH & INSIGHTS
Our analysis revealed issues with visual hierarchy, low contrast ratios, and a disorganized layout. These findings guided our usability testing plan.

DISCOVERING
PROTO-PERSONAS
We envisioned two primary users:
Jonny: A young professional seeking a fun, inclusive hobby.
Laura: A busy student eager to contribute to a cause that resonates with her values.
GATHERING DATA
We conducted two interviews and gathered insights from 17 survey responses.
Using an affinity diagram, we identified user priorities, including:
Clear navigation to meetings and events
Accessible donation options
Transparent mission statement
IDEATION
We prioritized features through the "I Like, I Wish, What If" method, which highlighted the need for:
A bold donation button
A clear and concise FAQ section
A visually engaging homepage featuring the mission statement

DEFINING
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
Card sorting exercises revealed users’ preferences for intuitive navigation. We used these findings to refine the site map, ensuring content was well-organized and user-friendly.
WIREFRAMES
We rapidly prototyped low-fidelity wireframes in Adobe Xd to test layout concepts, focusing on a content hierarchy that emphasized user goals, such as joining, donating, and exploring events.

LO-FI PROTOTYPE FEEDBACK
Key insights from user testing included:
The donation button was too small and difficult to find.
Users couldn’t easily identify AJA’s mission or navigate back to the homepage.
Some pages were text-heavy and overwhelming.

Bold, professional design with pops of color.
